Previewing Notre Dame vs Miami

Sunday, August 31 at 7:30 p.m.: Notre Dame travels to Hard Rock Stadium to face the Miami Hurricanes in one of Week One’s most anticipated college football matchups. Both programs are retooling and rebuilding after heavy NFL Draft losses, including starting quarterbacks and key contributors overall.

Notre Dame and Miami will debut new offensive lines—Notre Dame’s due to injuries and transfers, Miami’s from draft ravaging—placing added pressure on pass protection. The battle in the trenches may decide the outcome, as both defenses look to take advantage of early game butterflies from the quarterbacks.

Notre Dame is expected to start either CJ Carr or Kenny Minchey, with Miami turning to Georgia transfer Carson Beck. New signal-callers on both sidelines will allow for early defensive pressure to rattle the quarterbacks, throw off the timing timing, and mess-up offensive rhythm. The team that establishes the line of scrimmage will come out of the fight victorius

Turnovers, poise in the pocket, and coaching adjustments will be critical in what will ultimatley determine the game.
